Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China! On September 29, a high-level conference focused on global innovation development—the "Global Innovation in China" Seminar and Exchange Conference—was held at the China Imperial Examination Museum in Nanjing. This event was jointly organized by the Academic Committee of the Chinese Management Science Society and the Digital Economy Specialized Committee of the Jiangsu Association for the Promotion of Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship, with meticulous planning and execution by the Nanjing Institute of Cultural Industry for Number and Intelligence and the Agile Think Tank. The gathering brought together innovators including renowned scholars, business leaders, and experts from various industries to discuss fostering international cooperation, building a beautiful innovation ecosystem, and promoting innovative development in China and around the world.

The conference kicked off with an eloquent address by Zhang Xiaodong, Chairman of the Agile Think Tank, Chair of GAIN Global No.1, and Executive Director of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Management Science Society. Zhang Xiaodong emphasized that the Global Alliance of Innovators (GAIN), initiated and led by Chinese individuals, is a global organization that connects innovators worldwide, serving as a platform for cross-field and cross-border innovation collaboration and exchange. The inauguration ceremony of GAIN, held grandly in Berlin this July, not only highlighted the ambitious vision of the Global Alliance of Innovators (GAIN) but also marked a solid and powerful step forward in global innovation efforts. This seminar and exchange conference is a profound discussion where Chinese innovators explore how to leverage international platforms to promote Chinese innovation and how to bring Chinese innovation to the world for the benefit of humanity. It not only serves as a strong continuation and promotion of the GAIN inauguration ceremony but also marks a new beginning where global innovators join hands to forge ahead and create a shared future.

Xia Fan, CEO of the Agile Think Tank and Deputy Secretary-General of GAIN, introduced the highlights and achievements of GAIN and the 2024 Global Innovators Conference to Chinese innovators from government, industry, and academia who were in attendance. Xia also outlined the preparatory plans for GAIN China and the next steps for its work, stating that GAIN will continue to be dedicated to building an exchange platform for global innovators, promoting the sharing and collaboration of innovation resources, and contributing to the development of new productive forces in our country and the construction of a quality global innovation ecosystem.

Professor Chen Jin, Director of the Center for Technology Innovation at Tsinghua University and Chair of GAIN, delivered a keynote speech titled "The Global Alliance of Innovators (GAIN) in China." Professor Chen Jin profoundly expounded on the immense value of innovation, emphasizing that innovation is not only an inexhaustible driving force for social progress but also a key factor in strengthening humanity's ability to face global challenges. Chen Jin traced the origins of the concept of original innovation, analyzed its significant standing in contemporary society, and discussed how to stimulate more original innovation outcomes through strengthening basic research and encouraging free exploration.

The conference was hosted by Wang Bo, the President of the Nanjing Institute of Cultural Industry for Number and Intelligence. Relevant leaders from the Jiangsu Association for the Promotion of Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship introduced the guests to the situation regarding innovation, entrepreneurship, and talent development in Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City. Following a tour of the Imperial Examination Museum, the attendees engaged in lively discussions centered on the theme of global innovation. Participants shared their experiences and insights from their own innovation practices, exploring how to strengthen international cooperation under the context of vigorously developing new forms of productive forces, and using innovation-driven approaches to jointly address global challenges.

This "Global Innovation in China" Seminar and Exchange Conference was not only a vibrant convergence of ideas among innovators and innovation organizations but also contributed wisdom toward the efficient transformation of innovation outcomes, as well as to scientific and technological progress, social development, and human well-being in our country. In the future, GAIN will accelerate its establishment and growth in China, continuing its dedication to building an exchange platform for global innovators, promoting the sharing and collaboration of innovation resources, and striving unremittingly for the construction and development of a beautiful global innovation ecosystem!
