"Envisioning the Future, Heading Toward the Future": "Global Innovation in China" Exchange Successfully Held in Huangchuan, Xinyang
On February 1, 2026, the "Envisioning the Future, Heading Toward the Future" Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Exchange was successfully held at Shuimu Guangzhou Sky Farm in Huangchuan, Xinyang, Henan Province. Co-hosted by the Academic Committee of the China Society of Management Modernization (CSMM), the Research Center for Technological Innovation at Tsinghua University, and the Digital Economy Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Association for the Promotion of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talents, the event was jointly organized by the People's Government of Huangchuan County, Beijing Shuimu Jiutian Technology Co., Ltd., and Agile Think Tank. As the third installment of the "Global Innovation in China" series, the event focused on the regional development of the "Red Dabie Mountains" and Southeastern Henan, aiming to drive the integration of agricultural technology with regional economies to bolster rural revitalization and sustainable development.
The conference brought together representatives from government, academia, and industry, including Su Guangming, former Science and Technology Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Chen Jin, Vice President of CSMM, Director of the Research Center for Technological Innovation at Tsinghua University, and Chairman of GAI; and Wang Xiaoqing, Founder of Shuimu Jiutian and Director of GAI. They were joined by local government and corporate leaders from the Southeast Henan High-tech Industrial Cluster, the Huangchuan County Government, Huaying Agriculture, and Pengsheng Livestock Products.

Zhang Xiaodong, Executive Director of the CSMM Academic Committee, Chairman of Agile Think Tank, and First Chairman of GAI, stated in his opening remarks that agricultural modernization is not merely a technical upgrade but a systemic paradigm shift. He expressed his vision for the conference to serve as a bridge between scientific innovation and local development, exploring new models for agricultural modernization to inject vitality into regional high-quality growth. Several guests shared in-depth insights on topics ranging from global innovation comparisons to cutting-edge agricultural technologies and industrial practices.
During the keynote session, Professor Chen Jin highlighted the central role of technological innovation in agricultural modernization; Counselor Su Guangming shared experiences from Sino-Dutch scientific cooperation and international innovation trends; and Wang Xiaoqing provided a systematic introduction to Shuimu Jiutian's explorations in smart agriculture and carbon sink farming. In the subsequent discussion session, local entrepreneurs and delegates engaged in active dialogue regarding agricultural technology transfer, supply chain synergy, and international cooperation.

Notably, the event marked the launch of the first stop of the "2026 Management Tour of 100 Chinese Enterprises." This initial visit focused on the Shuimu Guangzhou Future Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Center in Huangchuan, where participants conducted a field inspection of its smart agriculture and industrialization practices to explore innovative models for agricultural modernization and carbon sink farming.
The "Global Innovation in China" series has previously been held in cities like Hangzhou, steadily establishing itself as an influential innovation brand. This conference in Huangchuan further deepened GAI’s practical engagement in agriculture and regional development, injecting new momentum into the industrial upgrading of Southeastern Henan and the Dabie Mountain revolutionary base areas.
Looking ahead, Agile Think Tank will continue to collaborate with GAI and various partners to bring "Global Innovation in China" to more industries and regions, contributing the strength of think tanks to China’s agricultural modernization and high-quality development.
